Fast Boat at Sanur Beach Harbour · 7:30 AM

I packed breakfast from hotel, took a gocar and reach the harbour to catch the 7.30am boat to Nusa Penida. At the harbour, you stop a few minutes away from the entrance to avoid paying a entrance fee of IDR 5000 for car. Someone from one of the many boat companies will try to intercept you and guide you to their counter. It is fine if you found the price and time of departure acceptable. As of today, the price is IDR 150K per person one way. The schedule time is 7.30am, but the boat got delayed until 8.00am. There might be a price hike soon due to the recent increase in petrol prices. There are 2 dozens boat company operating various boat to the 3 nearby islands: Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. If you want peace of mind, you can book online tickets via Klook. The beach port is extremely crowded in the morning, with some seller selling snacks. I think the trip to the island only takes 30 minutes, but the boarding is quite slow. The staffs will help you with heavy luggages, and you remove your shoes and dandals when boarding (as there is bo actual harbour, but a beach). A real harbour is in construction. You will land on Toya Pakeh Harbour (Semabu Hills fadt boat). There are plenty of Taxis service, where i think the normal price is IDR 700K per day (we negotiated to IDR 650K, he won't budge for IDR 600K which is Klook's price). If you just need a ride to your hotel, it is much pricier here. I think the prices on Klook is quite good, so it might be worth it to book there. Also, you can complete the island in a single day, as they separate the trip into east or west. So stay a night if you want to cover all the main attractions. Our driver brought us to El Rey counter for a ticket back to Sanur for tomorrow, and it cost IDR 200K per person. I am not quite sure why there is an additional fee of IDR 50K, so maybe just buy a return ticket in Sanur will be cheaper, or book online via Klook. I think most tickets are open tickets for the day, so you can change the time if you are late.

Visit at Angel Billabong · 10:00 AM

A small green pool. Quite challenging to get into the pool, and you might end up obstructing photos for many others if you do so.

Visit at Broken Beach · 11:00 AM

Broken beach is an arch rock formation, where you look at from a cliff. You can't reach the beach on foot, maybe by boat, but no one is on the beach. You can also see Manta Bay, and spot some mantas from a cliff. Many go on a snorkeling trip with Mantas, but the waves are really strong.

Lunch at BELLA QUEEN resto& bar · 12:21 PM

A common stop for tourists by driver. Food is okay, just portion small and slightly more expensive.

Visit at Kelingking Beach Nusa Penida · 1:48 PM

There are many people at the stairs near to top taking photos, you can instead travel further up to take better pictures with less crowd (there are some monkeys there). Do walk down the cliff by stairs, it takes about 20 minutes. It is not very hard (unless you hardly exercise), slightly challenging due to the tight space, and plenty of traffic jam. The beach down there is absolutely gorgeous, clean and white with some really big waves. Not recommended to swim in it, but you can enjoy the water and the waves. There is also a seller selling cold drinks and some snacks. I would recommend at least 3 hours at Kelingking.

Visit at Crystal Bay Nusa Penida · 4:57 PM

Like most beach in Bali, plenty of sunbeds and food stalls. Pandan Beach is 10 minutes hike from here, but we didn't go there. I enjoy a dip in a river flowing towards the sea, and enjoy BBQ corn for IDR 20K. If the weather is good, wait until sunset before returning to hotel.

Stay at Ayu Hill Bungalows · 7:00 PM

It is a simple but comfortable hotel. It does not serves dinner, but the owner gives you a menu where you can order delivery from a nearby restaurant via WhatsApp. The food from the Warung is quite tasty with big portion (good price), but the delivery was late by 45 minutes. I would recommend staying near a beach, or near the main road loop. At least the transport fee is cheaper, or you can enjoy the beach on the early morning (or watch sunrise if you are on the east side).
